Prime Minister of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, Nermin Nikšić, met today in Sarajevo with the Ambassador of Great Britain to BiH, Julian Reilly. During the meeting, which was also attended by the head of the political department of the British Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina Helen Flewker, the priorities of the newly appointed Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina were discussed.

Prime Minister Nikšić primarily highlighted the FBiH Government’s commitment to economic and social reforms. This, as he said, first of all means relieving the burden on the economy and improving the business environment for foreign and domestic investments, which will ultimately have positive implications for both employers and workers, as well as the overall economic and social environment.

He emphasized that the fight against corruption is crucial for such a new environment, and announced accelerated activities to create personnel and institutional assumptions in this direction.

Ambassador Reilly congratulated Prime Minister Nikšić on his appointment, and emphasized Great Britain’s full support for the Prime Minister and the FBiH Government.

He assessed that the Government of FBiH faces many challenges, and that for economic and social progress, reforms are necessary, some of which can be implemented quickly.

In this direction, Ambassador Reilly emphasized, the British Embassy, as well as companies from Great Britain with their experience and expertise, are at the disposal of the Prime Minister and the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Press Service of the FBiH Government.
