The Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH and the President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH, Nermin Nikšić, announced today on Facebook that 80 years ago our ancestors, the partisans, found strength in the heart of enslaved Europe to say that Bosnia and Herzegovina is both Serbian, Muslim and Croatian.
He pointed out that those whom the partisans defeated then want to say today that “they won and that Banjaluka is Serbia”.
“Well, it isn’t and it never will be. The homeland is defended where it is most attacked. Unfortunately, that is today in Banja Luka and Republika Srpska. That is why we are here today in Banja Luka, which belongs to all the citizens of Bosnia and Herzegovina. I feel sorry for the people who were obviously deceived and to whom someone told how the Chetniks defeated the anti-fascists and that this is Serbia. Unfortunately for them, history cannot be revised and the borders of Bosnia and Herzegovina will not change. Dear Bosnians and Herzegovinans, happy Statehood Day from our beautiful Banja Luka. Death to fascism, freedom to the people “, said Nikšić.
Federal Minister of Development, Entrepreneurship and Crafts Vojin Mijatović today welcomed the Prime Minister of the Federation of BiH and the President of the Social Democratic Party (SDP) of BiH Nermin Nikšić, the Minister of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the President of People and Justice Elmedin Konaković, the Minister of Communications and Transport of BiH and President of Our Party Edin Forto and Minister of Displaced Persons and Refugees of FBiH Nerin Dizdar.
In front of the building of the City Organization of the SDP, about a hundred members of the Veterans’ Organization of the Republika Srpska had previously gathered to protest their arrival on the occasion of the BiH Statehood Day.
The Banjaluka Police Department banned the celebration of Bosnia and Herzegovina Statehood Day in that city, organized by SDP Banja Luka. The police also banned the celebration of the National Day in Mrkonjić Grad.
