Positive News: Cash Assistance for Every Newborn in Kakanj City!

For each newborn child in Kaknja area, assistance amounting to between 200 and 500 BAM will be allocated to parents.

At the proposal of Mayor of Kakanj Municipality Aldin Sljivo, the Municipal Council of Kakanj today adopted a decision on granting one-time financial assistance for every newborn child in the Kakanj area.

“For the employed mothers, the allowance will be 200 BAM for the first-born child, 250 for the second and 300 for the third and for each subsequent child. For the unemployed, the allowance will amount to 250 BAM for the first-born child, 350 for the second and 500 for the third and for each subsequent child, “said Mayor of Kakanj Municipality Aldin Sljivo.

Cash assistance will be granted through the Kakanj Social Work Center and payments will be made from the Kakanj Municipality Budget. The decision will also apply retroactively from January 1st, 2019.
