A humanitarian action, “My Hair is Your Hair”, was organized in Sarajevo on Sunday by the Heart Association for Children with Cancer and attracted a record number of donors.

As part of this project, Heart for Children with Cancer Association designs wigs and gives them for free use to children who have temporarily or permanently suffered hair loss.

The project “My Hair is Your Hair” is one of the most humane projects in BiH and beyond.

Voluntary hair donors provide great support for this project, which additionally makes this project even more humane and larger.

The Ambassador of the Association Amra Dzeko, also donated hair at one of the previous events and  encouraged others to donate.

“We did not expect such results, to see such smiles on the faces of our children, especially parents. As much as the children are concerned, it seems to me that the parents are even more so. They have more care and this project means a lot to them. So far we have made 38 wigs in our workshop. From this we collected 3,600 donated hair, that is, donors. Of those, 80 percent are girls under 12 who donated their hair. It is kind of encouraging and we are proud of that fact, ”Kubat explained.

He said that even young people who completed treatment work in their workshop, BHRT reports.
