”Energoinvest” announced that they submitted a request to the Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) for the approval of the selling price of natural gas for the first quarter of 2023.

The submitted request reduces the price of gas for the first quarter of 2023 by 9.6 percent compared to the price of the fourth quarter of 2022.

”The approval of the FBiH Government is expected on January 12th, 2023, with application from January 1st, 2023. In the explanation, we would like to point out that we received the sales price of gas from Gazprom Export officially this morning and that according to the calculation according to the gas formula, it was reduced by the amount of 4.98 percent compared to the price from the previous quarter,” Energoinvest announced yesterday.

Moreover, they stated that there was also a significant change in two other parameters that participate in price formation.

”Two operators of the transport system in the Republika Srpska (RS), ”Gaspromet Pale” and ”Sarajevo Gas Istocno Sarajevo”increased the price of gas transportation costs by more than 50 percent for the next period, and there was also a decrease in the value of the dollar in relation to the BAM, comparing the fourth quarter 2022 compared to January 2023,” they added.

All this resulted in the calculation price that was submitted to the Government of the FBiH for approval, which, as stated, is 9.6 percent lower compared to the price from the previous quarter, Biznis Info reports.
