Prepared Set of Laws: The Minimum Wage in the FBiH will be 1.000 BAM

The Government of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina (FBiH) has prepared a set of fiscal laws that should facilitate business in this entity, but at the same time enable a higher standard for citizens.

According to the available information, after analysis and discussions with employers and economic experts, a reduction in the salary contribution rate was prepared, which, instead of the current 41.5, should amount to around 30 percent.

At the same time, the Government wants to stimulate employers to redirect the difference in the reduction to workers’ wages.

Thus, at the same time, the minimum wage would be raised to 1.000 BAM, which has long been a demand of trade unions in FBiH.

It will be challenging for the Government to fill the budget holes that will eventually appear due to the reduction of levies, and one of the possibilities that are being considered is online fiscalization.

“The costs of the new fiscalization should not be borne by taxpayers, and the possibility is being considered that telecom operators pay for the purchase of new fiscal devices,” said Prime Minister Nermin Niksic, Biznis Info reports.
