tuzla aerodromThe Ministry for Trade, Tourism and Transportation of Tuzla Canton, in cooperation with the International Tuzla Airport and the Tuzla Canton Chamber of Commerce, organized for business people of Tuzla Canton a presentation on the potential of the International Tuzla Airport and its new flights.

“The aim of activities that in the last six years were led by Tuzla Airport, Ministry for Trade, Tourism and Transport and the Tuzla Canton Government in order to establish Wizzair in Tuzla, is an economic, social, cultural and overall development of Tuzla Canton and for the entire region’’, said the Minister for Trade, Tourism and Transport of Tuzla Canton Senaid Hadžić.

He explained that their primary goal is not direct economic benefits for the airport, but to provide opportunities for a better quality development of business and tourism.

He pointed out that the presentation is an opportunity for business people to express their interest for the currently existing lines, and eventually for new destinations that could be established with Tuzla Airport.

At the presentation, the head of the transport sector of Tuzla Canton Mensud Brčaninović presented to business people destinations of the airport and their travel and other infrastructural connections with surrounding cities and tourist and industrial centers.

Brčaninović expressed hope and expectation that taking advantage of the capabilities of these relatively low-cost airlines would establish new or strengthen existing business relationships for business people from the Tuzla Canton.

In cooperation with the airline company Wizzair, the Tuzla International Airport recently opened three flight connections (Basel, Malo and Gothenburg), and currently there are discussions on new lines for destinations to Germany and other European countries.
