unicefThe document of the Ministry of Human Rights and Refugees, titled “Guidelines for dealing with cases of violence against children in B&H” will be presented today in Doboj.

Representatives of social work centers, police departments, health clinics of the primary and secondary schools in 15 municipalities in the Doboj region will participate in a workshop intended to exercise the adequate responses in accordance to the law in cases of child violence. The document contains detailed instructions that each of these sectors need to take into consideration.

The aim of the project is to inform the public and to raise awareness of children’s rights and to protect children from all forms of physical and mental violence, injury, abuse, negligent treatment, maltreatment, exploitation and sexual abuse of a child.

“Say NO to violence against children” is a regional project of UNICEF, funded by the European Union and is coordinated by the Center for the Promotion of Civil Society, a member of the Network of NGOs for the elimination of violence against children (NEVAC)
