[wzslider autoplay=”true”]The feeling of freedom. Those are the two words with which the majority of Trail runners agree as the number one reason for engaging in this sport.
“There is no better feeling than to run and discover a new trail while training, and you planned to do just a standard training”, said Denis Ruvić, one of the founders of the club Trail Running Sarajevo.
Trail running is a registered sport with its umbrella association, and the simplest description of this sport would be ‘running along marked mountain trails’. It is one of the fastest growing sports in the world. At the territory of B&H people are still becoming familiar with this sport, and this club is precisely one of the launchers of the promotion.
The club was founded a year ago and ever since then the members are working hard on presenting the beauties of Bosnia and Herzegovina through running. In addition to standard activities related to training and participation at races, the club also launched a school of trail running.
“The attendees have an opportunity to get to know mountain trails in the surroundings of Sarajevo, to learn techniques of running in nature, how to orientate, how to gather condition in order to be able to plan and make one such training by themselves and plan participation at races after attending this school”, Ruvić said.
The club highlights that their aim is to create a large database of runners and fill the mountains with trail runners, apart from mountaineers.
