12834548_1126100980774190_326259695_nThe Minister of Industry, Energy and Mining of the Republika Srpska (RS) Petar Đokić claims that he does not know by how much the price of electrical energy will be increased in that BiH entity, because the Regulatory Agency is in the stage of analyzing the costs submitted by all production and distribution enterprises from the system of “Elektroprivreda RS”.

The Regulatory Commission for Energetics will today reconsider the request by “Elektroprivreda RS”, i.e. its dependent enterprises, to increase the price of electrical energy. According to unofficial information, the price of electricity for households will increase by five percent already as of April.

Đokić visited the Mine and Thermal power plant Gacko, one of the dependent enterprises of “Elektroprivreda RS” that requested the increase of prices.

Relevant Minister claims that, unless the Mine and Thermal power plant Gacko receive help, the enterprise will shut down.

The developmental policy must be based on real recognition of costs which may be such as to ensure that it may be entered into new investment activities through them, said Đokić.

Nearly all production enterprises within “Elektroprivreda RS” operated with a financial minus last year and their total loss amounted to 39.2 million BAM.

The Mine and Thermal power plant Gacko have an accumulated loss of as much as 26.5 million BAM.
