Prices of Medicines reduced by five to ten percent

Cheaper Medicines abc.baGovernment of the Tuzla Canton adopted the Decision on list of drugs of mandatory health insurance of the Tuzla Canton, as well as the Decision on amendments to the Decision on positive list of drugs of the Tuzla Canton.
At the press conference held yesterday, the Minister of Health in the Government of Tuzla Bahrudin Hadžiefendić reminded that the Government of FB&H reached a Decision on the list of drugs of mandatory health insurance, the so-called genetic list, with which the Government of Tuzla Canton complied yesterday.

Furthermore, Hadžiefendić stated that, in accordance with the Decision of the federal government, all cantons are obliged to adopt the Positive lists of drugs in order for the annual revision of the list to be done.

Decision on Positive list of drugs influenced the reduction in prices of drugs on the existing list at the territory of the Tuzla Canton, Hadžiefendić claims, emphasizing that this decision allowed savings amounting to between 1.5 and two million BAM on annual level.

Hadžiefendić added that prices of drugs have been reduced by five to ten percent.

Moreover, Hadžiefendić confirmed that citizens of B&H are paying the most expensive medicines in the region, adding that there are already initiative on the higher levels to change that.
