PRO-FEMINE-2014_COVER-FOTOIf we turn to ourselves and become accountable for our health, as well as calling on institutions to take responsibility, we will achieve a lot in the area of women’s health in B&H. This was one of the conclusions at the conference Pro-Femina: Women’s Health in Focus, which was held yesterday in Hotel Bristol in Sarajevo, organized by the magazine ‘Ljepota&Zdravlje’ (Beauty and Health).

‘’I think that we succeeded in what we had planned, and that is to raise these issues to social responsibility. This is our duty, and I hope that we were vocal enough and that we contributed to raising awareness of women’s health, and health in general’’, said the editor-in-chief of f the magazine Jelena Joksimović.

This was a chance to take part in two panels, ‘’and to prevent and to treat’, and ‘What happens when you get sick?’’, sought relevant answers to issues such as: what can we do for women’s health, what factors are most hazardous to their health, how much are women now responsible towards themselves, and how responsible is the community towards them, their families, companies where they work and the wider social environment?
