sff“At this year’s Sarajevo Film Festival will be screened a total of 222 films from 61 countries. They are divided into 18 different programs and will be screened at seven different locations, while duration of all films is around 200 hours,” said the director of the SFF Mirsad Purivatra at yesterday’s press conference.

The program that will be held as part of the Open Air Cinema of SFF, also known as “Metalac”, was presented as well.

Purivatra emphasized that this year’s selection is outstanding and that there will be global, regional, and international premieres.

“These are important films that talk about the time that we live in their own way, about where is today’s world film production, but also where is the world today. As part of the Open Air Cinema will be screened movies from all around the world and we will have the opportunity to watch comedy, action, drama etc…” said Purivatra.

On the first night of the SFF, the 12th of August, a surprise film will be screened at the Open Air Cinema.

Purivatra said that it is the only from the 222 films that will not be announced, and that this is a movie that will draw a lot of attention.

Besides the surprise film, on the program of the Open Air Cinema will be following films: ” Florence Foster Jenkins”, “Love & Friendship”, “Julieta”, “I, Daniel Blake”, “Captain Fantastic”, “A Good Wife,” A Conspiracy of Faith”.

The program of the Open Air Cinema will be closed by the French film “Tour de France” by director Rachid Djaïdani.
