Project on the Development of Thematic Tourism

project SERDASarajevo regional development agency SERDA, as a part of the project “Adriatic route“, organized today the conference where they presented policies and strategies  from the are of tourism and new potential thematic tourist products and perspectives of the tourism development in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aim of the project Adriatic Route is to support the development of tourism in region by creating the thematic tourism, with a special emphasis at gastronomy, but also at the rural, religious, ecotourism and sport tourism.

The professor Vesna Babic-Hodovic, the coordinator of the Faculty of Economics of the University of Sarajevo that carries out the project in a cooperation with SERDA, said that it is about the project of the regional cooperation, that besides partners from BiH, also includes partners from Croatia, Italy, Greece and Albania..

“We are trying to make programs that will be attractive for tourists outside the winter and summer season“, emphasized Babic-Hodovic.

The representative of SERDA, Belma Basic said that the project envisages the creating and developing of Adriatic web-GIS platform that will, besides in English, be available in other languages of partner countries that participate in the project in order to connect cultures and the transport system of regions.

The project will be finished in September.
