Project of De-mining of Sava Foundations Continues

OLYMPUS DIGITAL CAMERAIn the framework of bilateral international police cooperation of the Czech Republic and Bosnia and Herzegovina, in the period from 11 to 24 August 2013, will be implemented the first phase of De-mining of the Sava riverbed in Orašje under the project that started last year.

In addition to the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), which is the carrier of this project, and the Department of specialist diving activities and the training of Police of the Czech Republic (Brno) in the preparation and implementation of the project involved the Ministry of Security of B&H, Ministry of Defense of B&H, the Joint Staff of the Armed forces, Border Police B&H, BH MAC, Federal Administration of Civil Protection, Department of Civil Protection of Canton, the Public Enterprise Luka Brčko, MUP of the Posavina Canton, Municipality of Orašje and Odžak Municipality, including the Embassy of the Czech Republic in Sarajevo, the Croatian authorities (MUP of the Republic of Croatia, Croatian Border Police Republic of Croatia, National Protection and Rescue Department of R. of Croatia Vukovar-Srem County Brodsko-posavina County).

The continuation of De-mining activities of Sava foundations are planned for the following periods: the second phase: 3.9-16.9.2013 in Odžak and third phase: 22.9-4.10.2013 in Orašje.


We recall that the first demining activities of Sava from the mines of the previous war, was carried out in the period from 3.9 to 12.9.2012, when this project started.
