Prosecution of ZDC to get its own Building Next Year

zenica doboj cantonOn the occasion of the official start of construction works on the new building of the Prosecutor’s Office of ZDC, ceremony in Zenica was held yesterday, and on that occasion Zenica was visited by Melvin Asin, head of Corporations in the Delegation of the European Union.

“I have a great pleasure to be here together with Government representatives in Zenica. The European Union funded this project with an amount of 1.4 million euros. This project and our participation is testimony and the importance that the European Union gives and attribute to the improvement end efficiency of the judiciary. It is a great pleasure for me that I am here and I hope that, for one year, I will be here at the opening of this object. I am looking forward to the continuation of the cooperation with domestic institutions in creating of improved working conditions and creating preconditions for building a comprehensive strategy of reforms of the judicial sector“, said Melvin Asin, head of Corporations in the Delegation of the European Union.

Guests were addressed by the Prime Minister of ZDC, Miralem Galijasevic:

“I would like to thank to the European Union and I hope that we are creating conditions for independent and technically equipped prosecutor’s office. The whole story began with the reconstruction of the courthouse and I hope that we will find investors. What we will do in the future is that we will observe other spatial problems of other municipalities and try to resolve them I would like to thank the Chief of the Municipality, Husein Smajlovic, and the City of Zenica that ceded us 1.000 m2 and helped us in obtaining building permits and the Embassy of Norway that funded the execution project.

Construction works started in March this year, and the completion was planned for March next year.
