The Prosecutor’s Office of Bosnia and Herzegovina is working on several cases in which Milorad Dodik is a reported or suspected person, the Prosecutor’s Office confirmed for FENA.

Referring to the inquiry about whether a case or several of them were filed against Milorad Dodik, the president of the RS, for denying the genocide in Srebrenica, the BiH Prosecutor’s Office states that in the cases related to Article 145a of the CC BiH, Dodik is in the status of a person against whom a complaint has been filed in several cases in which acting prosecutors are executing checks on the allegations from the complaints.

“The decision on the further status of the case, i.e. orders to conduct or not to conduct an investigation, will be made by the acting prosecutors who act in specific cases after the necessary actions have been completed,” told FENA the Prosecutor’s Office in response to an inquiry regarding the procedure in those cases.

The aforementioned Article 145a of the Criminal Code of Bosnia and Herzegovina sanctions the incitement of national, racial and religious hatred, discord and intolerance.

It is a provision that has a prescribed prison term of three months up to five years.
