Qatar Airways, one of the largest and most renowned airlines in the world, will commence flights to Sarajevo from Doha on Tuesday, October 31st.

Landing of the inaugural flight QR 293 to Sarajevo International Airport is scheduled at 11:00 a.m., while the departure of the flight QR 294 from Sarajevo to Doha is scheduled at 12:00 p.m., International Airport Sarajevo confirmed to FENA.

Travelers from Doha to Sarajevo and back will fly on an Airbus A320, which has 12 seats in the business and 132 seats in the economy class. Flights are scheduled four times a week on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays and Sundays. In addition to the rich gastronomic offer, travelers will have access to the top entertainment system, which offers the latest editions of movies, TV series, music, games, and much other content.

“Air links between Sarajevo and Doha will greatly facilitate travel to Qatar, especially to the ever-increasing number of BiH citizens living and working in that country. In addition to strengthening business connections, the introduction of the Doha-Sarajevo flight will significantly increase the number of BiH tourist visits. Lastly, this line will allow passengers from Sarajevo to continue to more than 150 destinations around the globe through the center of Qatar Airways (Hamad International Airport) from North and South America, Asia to far-off Australia,” Sanja Bagaric Arnaut of Sarajevo International Airport said.

Qatar Airways is the national airline of Qatar and is one of the fastest growing airlines in the world. The company has been operating for 20 years, has the youngest fleet of aircraft in the world and is flying to more than 150 business and tourist destinations on six continents.

“Qatar Airways is already the sixth airline that started operations from Sarajevo International Airport this year, with which the largest airport in BH continues its impressive growth in all fields, which directly contributes to strengthening the economic picture of Bosnia and Herzegovina and the development of tourism potentials, but also enables our citizens a wider choice when it comes to European and world destinations,” Bagaric Arnaut said.
