The US Embassy issued a new call for applications for the lottery for immigrant visas in 2015, popularly called ‘Lottery for Green Card’. The lottery begins on 1 October 2013 at 18:00 according to local time, and the deadline for applications is 2 November 2013 at 17:00 according to local time.
In the program lottery 2015, 50.000 permanent immigrant visas will be made available to applicants randomly selected from the total number of participants in the lotter. These visas will be made available to persons who meet the stringent requirements for participation and who come from countries with a low rate of immigration to the US, including B&H.
Applicants can access the electronic form at: www.dvlottery.state.gov.
The US Embassy warns that there are many fraudulent websites that pose as official websites of the US Embassy and related to the immigrant visas. Some companies have also been requesting money from those interested in order to fill the form and participate in the lottery, even thought the application via an electronic form is free of charge.
