Bearing in mind that the existing passenger tariff of the Railways of the Republika Srpska, which defines the prices in railway passenger traffic from 2018, as well as that there was no increase in the prices of passenger tickets in the meantime, the sudden increase in prices, primarily of energy, led to the necessary correction of the prices of services in passenger rail transport, they stated in this company.

As they say, the increase in the prices of materials, energy, goods and services caused an increase in the prices of services in all types of traffic. Harmonization of the valid passenger tariff of the Railways of the Republika Srpska with the prices in the environment was necessary in order to mitigate the impact of the increase in the prices of materials and energy, which directly affect the costs of rail passenger traffic.

In accordance with the request of the Railways of Republika Srpska sent to the Ministry of Transport and Communications for approval of the necessary increase in ticket prices in passenger internal traffic, the Government of the Republika Srpska has given approval for a 20% increase in the tariff for passenger transport on the railways of the Republika Srpska.

The new price list for internal passenger traffic of the Railways of RS enters into force on March 1, 2024.

“Considering the increase in revenue of the RS Railways in recent years, by increasing the prices of transportation, baggage and express shipments, the RS Railways expect an increase in revenue in the current year, which will certainly contribute to the better functioning of railway traffic,” it was stated.
