According to Takvim (Islamic calendar which includes important dates and events) of the Islamic Community (IC) in BiH, the first day of this year’s Ramadan is on the 6th of June.
The first Tarawih prayer (night time prayer during the month of Ramandan) will be on Sunday, the 5th of June.
According to the Islamic calendar, this year, AH 1437, Ramadan will last 29 days.
Yesterday, thematic session of IC was held under the chairmanship of Deputy Reis-ul-ulema Husein ef. Smajic, where plans for Ramadan activities of the Islamic community at all levels were presented and discussed.
It was noted that the IC will offer variety of content on all levels and thus help the believers to complete their daily spiritual and physical connection with the noble Islam, especially during the month of Ramadan. Among others, it is important to mention a large number of group iftars (dinner that breaks the fast), youth gatherings, celebrations and events that will mark the upcoming month of Ramadan in a unique way.
Moreover, yesterday’s meeting of IC was attended by the heads of other organizational units of IC along with the administration directors.
