turizamBased on the interest of tourists, as well as global media, it is expected that the upcoming tourist season for Sarajevo, B&H as well as the Tourist Board of Sarajevo Canton will be a record one.

‘’It was a minor setback in the first two months of this year due to the lack of snow and the winter ski season practically collapsed. However, with this first beautiful weather we expect a full spring. We expect a large number of tourists in the next period and a record year. Regardless that the last season was very successful, we expect even better results this year’’, said to Fena the Spokesperson of the Tourist Board of Canton Sarajevo Asja Hadžiefendić-Mešić.

This is confirmed by numerous inquiries that arrive at the address of the Tourist Board in Sarajevo Canton.

‘’Journalists from all over the world have a desire to visit Sarajevo and B&H, to write articles, look for calendars of events that would take place in Sarajevo this year. CNN contacted the Canton Sarajevo Tourist Board and asked for information tied to the events for the program of marking the 100 years since the First World War’’, said Hadžiefendić-Mešić.

She stressed that better results and better impact in the number of tourists and the number of overnight stays is expected due to the opening of the International Airport Sarajevo for low-cost airlines.
