A total of 14,564 overnight stays were recorded during the month of August in Trebinje, which is a record number since this statistics was started, said the director of the Tourist Board of Trebinje, Marko Radic.

Radic also noted that Trebinje is becoming a desirable tourist destination in the region, and that the number of tourists who are visiting the southernmost town of the RS is increasing.

“A total of 65,591 overnight stays were recorded during the first eight months of 2018, while that number amounted to 69,174 overnight stays during the year of 2017. This will be a new record season for our city, and we are very proud of that fact,” noted Radic.

He also added that the number of overnight stays was increased by 40 % during the eight months of 2018 in comparison to the same period last year, and that the largest number of tourists in Trebinje are coming from Turkey, Serbia, Greece, France and South Korea.

The tourist information center in Duciceva Street in the center of Trebinje was visited by 30 % more tourists than in the same period last year, and they are mostly from Serbia, Russia, Austria and the UK.

More than 1,830 beds are registered in the area of this town.
