Deputy Chairman of the Council of Ministers of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Minister of Defense of BiH Zukan Helez today received the newly appointed Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Manahan M.P. Sitompulu, on an inaugural visit.
Welcoming Ambassador Sitompulu at the start of his diplomatic mission, Helez emphasized that relations and cooperation between Bosnia and Herzegovina and Indonesia are already at a very high level, but noted there is always room for further advancement.
Helez expressed particular satisfaction with his visit to the Indo Defence Expo & Forum in Jakarta this June, where he held a series of meetings with Indonesian officials and representatives of the defense industry.
Ambassador Sitompulu thanked Helez for the reception and highlighted that Helez’s leadership of the Ministry of Defense of BiH has significantly enhanced the potential for cooperation between the two countries.
Minister Helez reiterated that Bosnia and Herzegovina’s main military-political goals are joining the European Union and NATO, and that all activities of the Ministry are directed toward achieving these objectives.
Helez also wished Ambassador Sitompulu a successful diplomatic mission, a pleasant stay in Bosnia and Herzegovina, and the opportunity to enjoy the country’s natural beauty, the Ministry of Defense’s Public Relations Office announced.
