Remains of Two Victims of Srebrenica Genocide found

In the area of Kamenicko Brdo, located municipality of Bratunac, an exhumation was carried out on Wednesday, during which incomplete remains of at least two victims were found on the site.

According to the information from the Institute for Missing Persons of BiH, it is presumed that the remains belong to the victims of genocide committed in July 1995, in the area of Srebrenica.

The remains of the victims exhumed were transferred to the Commemorative Center in Tuzla for forensic processing, as well as DNA analysis, in order to determine the identity of the victims.

The exhumation and clearing of the terrain was carried out on the order of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina and under the supervision of the Prosecutor’s Office of BiH.
