Request for Retrial of Fadil Novalic Rejected by Court

The request for a retrial of Fadil Novalić has been rejected, it was confirmed for federalna.ba.

As a reminder, lawyer Elmir Jahić, the attorney for the convicted Fadil Novalić, filed a request with the Court of BiH to repeat the criminal proceedings due to, as stated, “the existence of new facts, evidence, as well as established violations of the human rights of the convicted and other participants in the proceedings, which directly affect the legality of the verdict issued against Fadil Novalić”.

Lawyer Elmir Jahić confirmed that the request was rejected, which is the difference with the statements that the request was rejected.

Jahić said that this is a “collapse of legal certainty”, and added that this is an irresponsible treatment of the case, considering that the decision was delivered to Vasvija Vidović, and not to him, the signatory of the request.

An appeal against the decision will be filed within the legal deadline of three days, Jahić confirmed for the RTV FBiH portal.
