Rescue Exercise to take place on Trebevic Cable Car

Members of the Federal Administration of Civil Protection will take part in the exercise “Evacuation from Sarajevo Cable Car” that will be held today,  right before its putting into operation on April 6.

Trebevic Cable Car will be put into operation on April 6, the Day of Sarajevo, after 26 years. The exercise named “Evacuation from Sarajevo Cable Car” will take place today, on April 5,  in order to demonstrate readiness of participants in all expected and unexpected situations and in case of its malfunction.

Out of a total of 50 participants in this exercise, 20 are from the Federal Administration of Civil Protection (FUCZ), and the others are from PE Sarajevo, which is managing the Trebevic cable car and City Hall, then the Alpine Team of Federal Police Administration, members of the Unit for the Support to MIA of Canton Sarajevo and GSS Trebevic.

There will be also firefighters, the Emergency and members of the Police Station of Old Town in case of need for some kind of additional assistance.

The exercise will start at 12 PM, and it will take place according to the scenario from the height of 40-meters for 20 “injured persons” on the following locations: 3-4 pillar (Primary School on Hrid), 7-8 pillar (Protected Area Trebevic) and 6-7 pillar (above Colina kapa).
