The first round table discussion on the document of ”Security Policy of B&H” was held today in Sarajevo. The round table discussion was organized by Inter-Ministerial Working Group for Implementation and Training of the Security Policy of B&H and the OSCE Mission to Bosnia and Herzegovina.

The aforementioned document obtains all segments of national security and provides clear instructions and a vision for a unique function of the security systems in Bosnia and Herzegovina. It is also closely linked to the intensified efforts of Bosnia and Herzegovina to get closer to the admission to NATO and the EU, but also for the contribution to international and regional stability and security, and for the continuity of the reform of the national security system.

This document also defines the long lasting and coherent strategy of the structure and all mechanisms needed for efficient function of the security sector. The participants at the round table discussion talked about the need for further innovation of the existing document of the ” Security Policy of B&H”. Taking into account that it was adopted in 2006, and that significant changes have took place in the previous period in the realm of security of Bosnia and Herzegovina, some innovations should be implemented.
