The Government of the Republika Srpska (RS) passed a decision whereby all mothers who have four or more children will receive monthly assistance of 750 BAM as long as one of the children is a minor.

The RS Government passed the Decision on providing financial assistance to unemployed mothers of four or more children, with the aim of supporting the family and preserving the quality of family life.

The decision prescribes the conditions that a parent must meet in order to be entitled to financial assistance – that he is unemployed, that he has four or more children, of which the youngest child is under 18 years old, that is, one of the children is a minor. Then that he has the citizenship of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), that he has a residence in the RS or on the territory of Brcko District with entity citizenship of the RS.

Financial aid according to this decision is provided in the monthly amount of 750 BAM, starting from September, in such a way that it is immediately provided to parents who are on the records of the Public Fund for Child Protection as beneficiaries of one of these funds.

In the following period, after the implementation of the necessary legal procedures, this amount will be paid as monthly assistance with contributions for a total of 1.300 families, which will provide the unemployed parent with health and pension insurance.

For those who are not on the Public Fund for Child Protection records, a public invitation will be issued by the Ministry of Family, Youth, and Sports, and published in the Official Gazette of the RS, a daily newspaper, and on the website of the ministry.

After the publication of the public call, it is necessary that those parents who are not beneficiaries of the right to child protection through the Public Fund for Child Protection, and who will receive financial aid automatically, based on the records kept by this fund, submit a request for financial aid with the necessary evidence to the address Ministry of Family, Youth and Sports, and the public call will be open for 30 days.
