Ryanair introduces Five new direct Flights from Sarajevo

Ryanair has announced five new direct flights from Sarajevo International Airport starting in April this year.

The company’s commercial director, Jason McGuinness, said at a press conference in Sarajevo that the new destinations are Paris, Karlsruhe, Düsseldorf, Gerona and Stockholm.

He added that Ryanair will have a total of 11 direct flights to Sarajevo with these new destinations and thanked the Sarajevo Airport management and the Sarajevo Canton Government for their cooperation.

McGuinness stated that if Sarajevo Airport wants to continue to attract Ryanair investments, including a potential base, it must remain competitive and called on the BiH authorities to reverse the decision to reintroduce airport taxes.

The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Nihad Uk, stated that he is proud as a Prime Minister and as a citizen that we currently have more than 15 new flights from Sarajevo, and in 2025 we will continue with this intensity and open new destinations via Ryanair.

He pointed out that all parameters show that we are on the right track – from a record 1.8 million passengers at Sarajevo Airport to a 25 percent increase in tourist visits.
