Salah: I’m closer to Leaving than Staying at Liverpool

Egyptian footballer and Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah said today that he is closer to leaving than staying at the club at the end of the season.

“It’s almost December and I still haven’t received any offers to stay at the club. I’m probably closer to leaving than staying. I’ve been at the club for many years, there’s no club like this, but in the end it’s not in my hands,” Salah said.

The 32-year-old Egyptian international has been at Liverpool since 2017. Salah has scored 12 goals in 18 games this season.

“I’m focused on the season and trying to win the Premier League and hopefully the Champions League. I’m disappointed, but we’ll see,” he added.

Salah is Liverpool’s all-time top scorer in the Premier League with 167 goals, and has scored 223 goals in all competitions in 367 games for Liverpool.

“I’m very professional. Everyone can see my work ethic. I just try to enjoy football and I want to play at the highest level for as long as possible. I always give my best, that’s how I am. I try to give my best for the club as well. We’ll see what happens next,” Salah said.
