Ramiz Salkić novovrijeme.baThe Vice President of the BH entity of RS Ramiz Salkić visited today the Embassy of B&H in Berlin, where he met with the Ambassador Edin Dilberović.

It was concluded that the BH diaspora in Germany counts more than 150.000 people, which is an exceptional potential to support the development of B&H.

‘’The majority of the immigrants from B&H migrated to Germany during the nineties, and originating from the area of the BH entity of RS. This population has continuously over the past two decades shown interest in the return, the reconstruction of their houses or occasional visits to their homeland. Unfortunately, there existed no systemic mechanisms to enable the BH citizens in the diaspora easier investment in B&H, the reconstruction of housing units, the participation in the democratic processes, and any attempt to form the Ministry of Diaspora has been disabled’’, it was announced today from the Cabinet of the Entity’s Vice President.

‘’The BH diaspora is an important factor in ensuring the financial stability of B&H, because it brings to our country up to five billion BAM a year, in many ways. I am convinced that we have to devote much more serious to this issue and strengthen the cooperation between the homeland and the diaspora’’, said Salkić.

During the conversation with the Ambassador Edin Dilberović and the representatives of our diaspora, the concrete possibilities of involvement of our people in the development and creation of stability, primarily through strengthening the economy, have been considered.
