The collegium of the Sarajevo Canton Assembly determined that the next session of the Cs Assembly will be held on Friday, March 6, and the key agenda item will be the consideration of the resignation of Prime Minister Nihad Uk and the dismissal of the entire Sarajevo Canton Government.

The Commission for Selection, Appointments and Administrative Issues of the CS Assembly unanimously accepted, at the end of last week, the resignation of Uk, which he submitted after the tram accident in the center of Sarajevo in which 23-year-old Erdoan Morankić was killed and 17-year-old Ella Jovanović was seriously injured. Uk explained his resignation as an act of moral and political responsibility.

In addition to the decision on the dismissal of the CS Government, the representatives will also have important legal solutions: the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Internal Affairs of the Canton of Sarajevo, the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Police Officers of the Canton of Sarajevo, as well as the Draft Law on the Acquisition, Possession and Carrying of Weapons and Ammunition.

The agenda also includes the Draft Law on the Legalization of Buildings and Other Performed Works in Areas Built Without a Building Permit, as well as the Draft Law on Amendments to the Law on Communal Cleanliness, which will be considered in an abbreviated procedure.

In addition to the above items, the agenda also includes personnel issues, including the Proposal for a Decision on Accepting the Resignation and Dismissal of the Deputy Attorney General of the CS, and the Proposal for a Decision on the Appointment of the Independent Board of the Assembly of the CS. A special emphasis will be placed on the protection of water resources, through the consideration of the Proposal for a decision on the protection of the source of drinking water “Djevojačke vode”, as well as the Draft of the temporary decision on the protection of the source of “Sarajevsko polje” and the Draft of the decision on the protection of the source of “Peračko vrelo”.

As part of the information material, the Assembly will consider reports on the work of the police commissioner for the second half of 2025, information on the state of security and crime for November 2025, and information on the implementation of the Law on reporting and the procedure for verifying data on the assets of public office holders in the Sarajevo Canton, reported the CS Protocol and Press Service.
