The Cantonal Civil Protection Administration of Canton Sarajevo has issued a warning to legal and natural persons to take preventive measures for protection and rescue from flash floods.
“Given that, according to the weather forecasts of the Federal Hydrometeorological Institute, rainfall is expected in the area of Sarajevo Canton today, as well as in the coming period, which may cause flash floods and floods in urban areas, all legal and natural persons to work as a preventive measure for the protection of health and life of people, as well as material goods, immediately undertake the necessary preventive measures for flood protection,” the announcement states.
The Civil Protection specifically appeals to the municipal civil protection services from the Sarajevo Canton to conduct a tour of the most threatened areas and to put their organized protection and rescue forces on alert.
