SARAJLIJE SE VRAÆAJU TREBEVIÆUTrebević was the favorite resort for Sarajevo citizens until the war, after which due to the war devastation was inaccessible to hikers. New contents are returning the beauty to Trebević and the reconstruction of the cable car, which as is announced should be set up in May of next year, and it will mean the complete return of visitors and tourists to this mountain.

But even without the cable car, the fans of nature expeditions hike on Trebević, especially since the house “Napretkov” was made, which is full of guests during the weekend. Since Trebević is demined and hiking trails marked, there have been many more hikers.

The top of Trebević (1.629 m above the see level) can offer a great view on Igman, Bjelašnica, Treskavica, Jahorina, Romanija, and especially a nice view on Sarajevo.

Certainly, Trebević in the coming years will “record” even more visitors during the International Women’s Day, after the march of on 8th March, titled “100 women on the top of Trebević”. Organizers, Mountain Association of Sarajevo Canton and Sarajevo Hiking Guide intend for this event to become traditional. This is the right move that aims to promote hiking and visits to Trebević mountain, which is confirmed by Saturday’s march that besides hikers from Sarajevo women from Tuzla, Bugonjo and Jelah participated.
