Sarajevo Hospital: The Number of Covid-19 Patients is twice as high as in Previous Days

The trend of increasing the number of coronavirus positive patients who need hospital treatment continues, it was announced today from the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas ”in Sarajevo.

As it is stated, a total of 70 patients are treated in the Covid department of that health institution, of which 15 are on high oxygen flow, and five patients are on a respirator – non-invasive mechanical ventilation. 21 patients were hospitalized in Covid Intensive Care, which is twice as many as in the previous days.

A total of 52 patients were admitted to the General Hospital for hospitalization yesterday, and eight were placed in the Covid ward.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the Sarajevo Canton, a total of 54,913 people have been infected with the coronavirus and 52,922 have been cured. According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 95, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 157.
