Sarajevo PM and EBRD in BiH Director signed Loan support Agreement for Transport Projects

The Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton Nihad Uk and the director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) Office in Bosnia and Herzegovina Manuela Naessl signed today the Loan Support Agreement for the projects “Construction of the tram line Ilidža-Hrasnica” in the amount of 25 million euros, and “Adaptive traffic management”, which includes the construction of a traffic center, procurement of additional trams and appropriate equipment, in the amount of 17 million euros.

Canton Sarajevo reminds that CS Minister of Transport Adnan Šteta recently signed project contracts for the mentioned projects with Director Naessl. Project and loan support agreements come after the Loan Agreement, which is signed at the state level, so the loan is already approved beforehand.

The tenders are in the final stage, and last week the Minister of Damage signed a contract for the execution of works on the Ilidža-Hrasnica tram line with the consortium of Turkish companies Yapi Merkezi Insaat ve Sanayi A.S. and Yapiray Demiryolu Insaat Sistemleri ve Ticaret.

The start of work on the construction of the tram line is expected after the completion of investigation work, design and preparatory work, in accordance with the technological and dynamic plan of the contractor, reported the CS Protocol and Press Service.
