Sarajevo records new Cases of Coronavirus

In the past 24 hours, seven new cases of coronavirus infection were confirmed in the Sarajevo Canton out of 387 people tested. Ten persons recovered from the Covid-19 infection and, fortunately, no one died.

By comparison, authorities reported nine new cases of coronavirus infection yesterday after testing 430 people.

Currently, there are 25 patients in hospital, 10 at the Clinical Center of the University of Sarajevo, and 15 at the General Hospital “Prim.dr. Abdulah Nakas”.

There is one patient on the respirator, while two patients use oxygen support to breathe above 15 liters per minute.

Today, Sarajevo Canton records 78 active cases of Covid-19 infection. There are currently 688 people in self-isolation. Since the beginning of the pandemic, a total of 52,791 people infected with coronavirus and 51,426 cured have been registered in Sarajevo Canton.

According to the data of the Public Health Institute of Canton Sarajevo, in the past seven days the average number of infected is 11, while the weekly incidence, ie the number of patients per 100,000 inhabitants, is 18.
