NGO “Marathon” Sarajevo will again organize even this year the most attended sporting event of international character in B&H – 7th Sberbank Sarajevo Semi Marathon and Nato Fun Run 4K.
Semi-marathon (21.1 km), which will go through the most beautiful parts of the city of Sarajevo, will be held on 15.09.2013, starting at 9am in front of BBI. With a short and fun race citizens from 4 km Nato Fun Run, which will start at the same time as the semi-marathon, and there are expecting a total of 1000 participants from 25 countries.
This sports project is organized on the occasion of the International Day without cars, and to contribute to the strengthening of environmental awareness. An important element during this event will be even the fight through sport against diabetes and promotion of a healthy and active life of our citizens, because the organizers want to contribute in building a healthier and more modern environment. For this purpose, it is useful a short and fun recreation race Nato Fun Run 4km which is accessible and open to all.
The entire project is of a humanitarian character because the benefits generated from it will be donated to the association “Center for Creative growing ” which funds the education of children with health problems and of those who are living in extremely difficult conditions throughout the country.
Semi Marathon will pass through the following areas of the city where traffic will be partially suspended on Sunday 15:09 from 08h to 12h: BBI – Alipašina street – Stadion Koševo and Jezero – Marin Dvor – Vislonovo Šetalište- Obala Kulina bana – Alley of Ambassadors (Bentbaša ) – Sebilj – Vječna Vatra- BBI.
The number can be picked up in the BBI Center on the third floor, 13.09. and 14.09 from 12:00 to 20:00 h.
General sponsor of the semi marathon is Sberbank and NATO is the main sponsor of Fun Run race.
Following the example of best practice, all those who complete the half marathon will receive a specially designed medal, a special T-shirt and a refreshing package. There will also be gifts for Nato Fun Run race.
The price for the semi marathon entry fee is the lowest in Europe, and is 15 euros or 30 KM.
Price entry fee for the ” Fun Run” is 2 euros, or 4 KM.
