Olympic medal winners Dino Radja, Vladimir Grbic, Martin Sinkovic, and Paola Magoni, as well as the trophy-winning decathlete Mihail Dudas, are coming to Sarajevo at the beginning of February for Sarajevo Olympic Week. As part of the festival, top athletes and representatives of the Olympic movement will participate in the program “Olympic Stories with…”, through which they will talk with young people at the Olympic Museum about their sporting and life paths, the importance of work, discipline, perseverance, and dedication. The talks will begin on Saturday, February 7th, at 11:00 a.m. with a meeting with Martin Sinkovic, will continue on Monday, February 9th, with talks with Mihail Dudas at 12:30 p.m. and Vladimir Grbic at 2:00 p.m., and will be concluded on Tuesday, February 10th, at 10:30 a.m. with a talk with Dino Radja. Paola Magoni will also attend the ceremonial gala event that will officially open the festival on Friday, February 6th, at the Olympic Museum Sarajevo.

“Educating young people through sport and the personal stories of top athletes is one of the key missions of Sarajevo Olympic Week. Meetings with people who have won Olympic medals and built careers on the foundation of work, discipline, and clear values can be a strong inspiration and motivation for young people, not only in sport but also in life,” said the President of the Organizing Committee of Sarajevo Olympic Week, Din Pehlivanovic.

Dino Radja, one of the most significant basketball players on the European scene, won two Olympic silver medals, with the Yugoslavia national team in Seoul in 1988 and with the Croatia national team in Barcelona in 1992. Vladimir Grbic, a member of the Volleyball Hall of Fame and once the best volleyball player in the world, won a bronze medal with the Yugoslavia national team in Atlanta in 1996, while he won the Olympic gold medal at the Games in Sydney in 2000. Martin Sinkovic is one of the most decorated rowers of today. He won Olympic silver in London in 2012, followed by gold medals in Rio in 2016, Tokyo in 2020, and at the Olympic Games in Paris in 2024. Special attention is drawn by the arrival of Paola Magoni, winner of the Olympic gold medal in alpine skiing at the Winter Olympic Games in Sarajevo in 1984, who today is recognized as a prominent sports official and an active promoter of Olympic values. Mihail Dudas, one of the most successful decathletes in the region, is the winner of the bronze medal at the European Athletics Championships in 2014 in Zurich and a multiple finalist at major international competitions.

Tickets for the Olympic Lounge, as well as free tickets for “Olympic Stories with…”, are available through the Entrio platform, while all information about program activities is available on the official Instagram account of Sarajevo Olympic Week.

Sarajevo Olympic Week 2026 is being implemented with the support of the City of Sarajevo, the Canton Sarajevo (CS) Tourist Board, the Ministry of Culture and Sport of CS, the Federal Ministry of Environment and Tourism, the Municipality of Centar, the Municipality of Stari Grad, the Olympic Committee of Bosnia and Herzegovina (BiH), international diplomatic partners, as well as numerous domestic and international organizations and sponsors that recognize the importance of preserving and developing Sarajevo’s Olympic heritage.
