Sarajevo visited by far more Tourists than the Last Year

sarajevoIn February this year, FB&H was visited by 27,732 tourists, which is 26.5 percent more than in February 2014, and in comparison with January 2015, number of tourists decreased by 2.5 percent.

Number of domestic tourists in the total number of tourists in February 2015 was 43.4 percent and 56.6 percent of foreign tourists.

The total number of overnight stays in February 2015 was 51,580, which is 28.9 percent more than in February 2014, and compared to January 2015, less by 8.9 percent.

The number of domestic tourists in the total number of overnight stays was 40.8 percent and 59.2 percent of foreign tourists.

According to the type of the accommodation, the highest number of overnight stays was realized through the types of Hotels and similar accommodation with a share of 93.9 percent, as reported from the Federal Bureau of Statistics.

When it comes to the overnight staying of foreign tourists, the most overnights in February this year were realized by tourists from Croatia (30.0 percent), Turkey (9.3 percent), Serbia (7.7 percent), Slovenia (6.7 percent) and Italy (4.3 percent), making a total of 58.0 percent. Tourists from other countries realized 42.0 percent of overnights.

The number of available beds in February 2015 amounted to 19,139, which is 19.1 percent more than in February 2014. Net utilization rate of beds in the FB&H in February was 9.6 percent.
