Princ SalmanSaudi Prince Salman bin Abdulaziz bin Salman al-Saud, who is staying in the capital of BiH for several days, met with several BH businessmen and politicians from Canton Sarajevo last night.

Although it was previously announced that the reason for the visit of Prince to our country is rest and recreation, last night’s meeting indicated that a member of the royal family of Saudi Arabia might be interested in business cooperation in our country.

The meeting was also attended by Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo Elmedin Konakovic, director of BBI Bank Amer Bukvic, CEO of AS Group Rusmir Hrvic, director of the Euro-Asfalt Hamed Ramic, director of Bosnalijek, the Deputy Mayor of Sarajevo Abdulah Skaka, and they were joined by director of Sarajevo Film Festival Mirsad Purivatra as well.

Adviser of the Prince, William Lüthi, confirmed that the reason for the meeting is the possibility of investment, exchange of culture and ideas of opening of Sarajevo towards the Middle East.

Prime Minister of Canton Sarajevo Elmedin Konakovic, who was the host of this meeting, told reporters that Saudi Prince is very interested in investing in our country and that he expressed the desire to specifically talk to some businessmen.

“The Prince came on two or three days, and he will be here for seven or eight days. We were persuading him to stay at the opening of the SFF as well. This is hopefully the beginning of a significant collaboration and the Prince promised to come again,” stated Konakovic.

The wealth of the young Prince is estimated at 3 billion USD. He is known as a businessman who has many ideas for the gathering of young world leaders.
