SDA: ”The Three” paid for Seats in Government by selling BiH’s Energy Sovereignty

By supporting the construction of new gas pipelines according to the wishes of SNSD and HDZ, “The Three” cadres in the Council of Ministers of BiH paid for their seats by selling the energy sovereignty of Bosnia and Herzegovina, announced the Club of SDA Representatives in the House of Representatives of the Parliamentary Assembly of BiH.

Consenting to a new Russian gas pipeline without a previously adopted state law on gas and the formation of a state regulator will in practice mean a monopoly in the hands of Milorad Dodik and his political successors, who will dictate the distribution and price of this energy through the entity company.

If “The Three” agrees to have the Southern Gas Interconnection project managed by the newly founded company of the cantons ruled by the HDZBiH, and not the entity company BH Gas, these two parties will have complete control over the gas sector of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

“No amount of untruths, twisting of facts and attempts to divert attention will hide the fact that with this act the “The Three” is trying to hand over the energy sovereignty of BiH in exchange for power, caused incalculable damage to the end consumers of gas, which are mostly cities in the FBiH with a Bosniak majority, and made it difficult the European path of Bosnia and Herzegovina by directly violating the obligations from the Stabilization and Association Agreement,” say the SDA Club.

They conclude that the consequences of agreeing to the construction of a gas pipeline without a state gas law and a state regulator will be permanent and irreparable.
