As part of the META operation, police teams from the Police Directorate of the Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton are conducting searches at 36 locations in the area of Zenica, Visoko, Mostar and Siroki Brijeg.
Acting on the orders of the municipal courts in Visoko and Zenica, in the early morning police teams of the Police Administration of the Ministry of Interior of Zenica-Doboj Canton (ZDC) began searches at thirty-three locations in Visoko, four in Zenica, and one location in Mostar and one in Siroki Brijeg.
Activities within the META action are undertaken under the supervision of the ZDC Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office, in cooperation with the Federal Police Administration and with the technical support of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA).
Searches of facilities and persons at the above locations are carried out with the aim of finding and temporarily seizing items that may serve as evidence in further proceedings, as well as locating and depriving 32 persons who are the target of the action, who are suspected of committing several criminal acts, hence criminal offenses “unauthorized production and distribution of narcotics”, “possession and enabling use of narcotics”, “disclosure of official secrets”, “forgery of a document”, “illegal possession of weapons or explosives” and criminal offenses under Article 52 of the Law on Procurement , holding and carrying weapons and ammunition in the Zenica-Doboj Canton, the Ministry of the Interior of the Zenica-Doboj Canton stated today.
