Due to non-compliance with the collective agreement, the miners of both pit plants of the Zenica Brown Coal Mine Subsidiary Company went on a general strike this morning, confirmed Elvedin Avdic, president of the Rudnik union.
“The union has announced a general strike, and the reasons for going on strike are unpaid wages and compensation for a hot meal for June, as well as two rejected loan installments from the payroll, but which the mine did not pay to the banks,” points out Avdic.
Meetings are underway in the management of the company, which received a new director on Friday. It is about Mensur Huskic, who was appointed by Elektroprivreda Bosnia and Herzegovina. Director Hukic officially took office this morning.
