Senad Ramović was killed in a clash with the police in the area of Novi Pazar, RTS learns.

Ramović refused to surrender and during his arrest he shot at the police, which is why members of the Special Anti-Terrorist Unit liquidated him.

Senad Ramović was the landlord of Miloš Žujović, who on June 29 seriously wounded policeman Miloš Jevremović with a crossbow in front of the Israeli embassy in Belgrade.

Ramović was previously sentenced to 13.5 years in prison for terrorism, and on one occasion he said that he was preparing a terrorist attack in Belgrade.

He was arrested in 2007 after an armed confrontation with the police in the village of Trnava near Novi Pazar. Then 14 more associates of Ramović were arrested.

They were suspected of planning the murder of the then Mufti Muamer Zukorlić, as well as of preparing terrorist attacks in Belgrade and Novi Pazar.
