Serbia to pay 550,000 USD to BiH for the use of the Embassy of SFRY in Ankara?

Serbia BiH flagSerbia will pay more than 550,000 USD to BiH because of the use of the former Embassy of SFRY in Ankara, and which belonged to our country.

A meeting of a delegation of the Ministries of Foreign Affairs of BiH and the Republic of Serbia, which were led by the authorized representatives for implementation of the Annex B of the Agreement on Issues of Succession, Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH Adnan Hadzikapetanovic and Secretary General of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Serbia Veljko Odalovic, was held in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of BiH on May 24.

At the meeting was signed the Implementation Protocol on the implementation of obligations under Annex B of the Agreement on Succession Issues, with which was regulated the total amount of 555,300.00 USD and the way of payment obligations from use of the Embassy of the former SFRY in Ankara, and which the Republic of Serbia used in the period from January 1, 2012 to December 31, 2016.

The signing of the Implementation Protocol represents the result of continuous negotiations and cooperation of authorized representatives for the implementation of Annex B as well as ministries of foreign affairs of the two countries, and which were conducted according to the principle of negotiated settlement and with the aim of improvement of bilateral cooperation and the continuation of the process of implementation of Annex B of the Agreement on Issues of Succession of former SFRY.

BiH will continue to actively participate in the work of the Joint Committee for the distribution of diplomatic and consular property of the former SFRY and with the aim of implementation of the Agreement on Issues of Succession.
