The Serbian Ministry of Defense claims that Kosovo police have entered Serbian territory near the village of Ćirkoviće.
They say that this is “another deliberate and planned attempt to provoke an incident and violate the agreement”.
At the same time, the Serbian Ministry of Defense demands that KFOR, “as the only legal and legitimate military force in the territory of Kosovo, take measures in accordance with its mandate and prevent the Pristina authorities from attempting to provoke an escalation of violence”.
“Albin Kurti’s order for members of the Kosovo police to cross the administrative line represents a dangerous provocation and a threat to peace. Serbian Army units in the Ground Security Zone are monitoring the situation on the ground and are ready to react in accordance with the provisions of the Military-Technical Agreement”, the statement said.
