Police officers of the FAST investigation team of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA) of Bosnia and Herzegovina today in the Pale area deprived one person of freedom who is linked to the commission of organized crime, terrorism, bombings, arms and explosives trade and money laundering .

The person deprived of liberty was taken to the premises of SIPA for criminal processing, and will be handed over to the further jurisdiction of the Court of Bosnia and Herzegovina within the legal term.

“The aforementioned activities are the result of a broader international action that is being carried out today by the competent authorities of the Republic of Italy. The aim of the action is to deprive of liberty a total of 17 persons who are members of an organized criminal group consisting of Turkish citizens, who live abroad and are involved in the execution of the aforementioned criminal acts”, SIPA stated.

The competent police bodies of Italy, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Belgium, as well as Bosnia and Herzegovina, i.e. SIPA police officers, are participating in the coordinated action of deprivation of liberty, Federalna writes.
