SIPA arrested Nine Persons over counterfeiting of Documents

Police Officers of the State Investigation and Protection Agency (SIPA), in cooperation with the police officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Republika Srpska, Una-Sana Canton and the Brcko District Police, have been operating since the early morning hours with under the code- name “Pecat”.

Nine people were arrested because of the existence of suspicion that they committed the criminal offense of associating for the commission of criminal offenses related to counterfeiting of documents and complicity, SIPA stated.

During the realization of the operation, searches were conducted in eight locations in Velika Kladusa, Cazin, Buzim, Novi Grad, Kozarska Dubica, Prijedor, Banja Luka and Brcko District, and so far several mobile phones with SIM cards, laptops, diplomas on completed education, testimonies of completed grades of secondary school qualifications and other documents suspected of being counterfeit were seized.

After the criminal investigation has been carried out at SIPA premises, the arrested persons will be transferred to the Una-Sana Cantonal Prosecutor’s Office.
